Atlanta is one of the most storied small golf towns in America — home to Palmetto Golf Club (founded 1892, the oldest course in South Carolina, redesigned by Alister MacKenzie in 1932, three years before he completed Augusta National) and Atlanta Golf Club (1912, one of the oldest public courses in the state).
