The dynamic corporate landscape of Atlanta, home to major companies and innovation hubs.
In a significant development, Greenberg Traurig has renewed its lease at Terminus 200 in Buckhead, committing to stay until at least 2039. Meanwhile, Duracell is moving its global R&D headquarters to a new facility next to Georgia Tech, investing $56 million and creating 110 new jobs. These moves highlight the dynamic growth in Atlanta’s commercial real estate and innovation sectors.
Oh, Buckhead! The bustling heart of Atlanta just got a little more exciting. In a major lease update, Greenberg Traurig, a heavyweight in the legal field, has decided to stick around for the long haul by renewing its lease at Terminus 200. That’s right, the firm will continue to call this impressive building home until at least the year 2039, keeping their vibrant workplace at the top five floors of this sleek 565,000 square foot tower. Talk about a commitment!
Greenberg Traurig has been at Terminus 200 since 2011 when they first signed a 15-year lease. Looks like they’ve found the perfect spot to host all of their lawyering! The lease negotiations were smoothly handled with the help of CBRE’s David Todd and Newmark’s Mike Shuler, while the landlord, Cousins Properties, was represented by Bill Hollett. It’s a match made in corporate heaven!
But that’s not all! Cousins Properties has exciting plans to kick off renovations in the lobby of the building and to create private outdoor space. A breath of fresh air for anyone working in the tower as it looks to enhance the office environment. It seems like Terminus 200 is taking its status as a top-tier office space very seriously!
Duracell is pulling out all the stops, investing a whopping $56 million into this new space! With this expansion, they’re expecting to create 110 new jobs, giving the local economy a healthy boost. They will lease up to 70,000 square feet in this state-of-the-art Science Square Labs, moving from their current location in Bethel, Connecticut. It sounds like they’re ready to flip the switch on some cutting-edge battery technology!
Set to be completed by 2031, this community aims to provide a perfect blend of residential and commercial spaces—providing future residents with everything they need just a short walk away. This is one project worth keeping an eye on!
But wait, there’s more! The population in Walton County is projected to surge by over 50% between 2020 and 2050, making this development a timely move indeed.
It’s a busy time in the Atlanta area, from big corporate moves to community developments. Buckhead, Newnan, and beyond are sizzling with growth, and it’s safe to say that exciting things are on the horizon for residents and businesses alike. Stay tuned for more updates as the developments continue to unfold!
