Hey Eagle Nation! August is almost here, and that means one thing: it’s time to get pumped for the annual Fan Day at Georgia Southern! Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 9, 2025, because this event is shaping up to be one for the books. From fun activities to football-focused events, there’s something for everyone in the Georgia Southern family!
Where and When?
Fan Day will take place at the iconic Allen E. Paulson Stadium with free admission for all attendees. Guests can start arriving for pre-event activities at 4:30 PM, and the festivities will run until late evening. It’s a fantastic way to kick off the 2025-26 athletic and academic year, blending the traditional First Flight celebration with engaging fan activities!
Pre-Event Excitement
Arrive early to enjoy a host of pre-event activities! Attendees will have a chance to walk on the field, snap a few photos, and participate in yard games, all while soaking up the vibrant atmosphere of Eagle Nation. For Georgia Southern students, entry will be through Gate 11, while the general public can access the stadium through Gates 5, 6, 8, and 12. And the best part? Parking is free!
First Flight Rally
As the sun begins to set, the excitement will ramp up with the First Flight Event. This high-energy rally features amazing performances by the Southern Pride Marching Band, appearances by beloved cheerleaders, and our talented dance team. Plus, don’t miss out on the interactive student contests and special team introductions that promise to ignite your school spirit!
Donor Day Details
Additionally, there will be a exclusive Donor Day Event for members of the Erk Russell Fund starting at 6:30 PM in the Bishop Fieldhouse. Members will get to hear from head coaches of soccer, volleyball, basketball, swimming & diving, and golf, along with insights from the Director of Athletics, Chris Davis. Doors will open at 6:00 PM for this special occasion.
Food and Football!
You can’t have a fantastic Fan Day without delicious food! Prepare your taste buds for a menu featuring hot dogs, chicken tenders, fries, chips, and sweet desserts. After enjoying your meal, stick around for an open practice and scrimmage that kicks off at 7 PM, giving fans a sneak peek of what’s in store for the upcoming season. Concessions, as well as the Southern Exchange Store, will be open on the north concourse of the stadium.
Prepare for the Season

Men’s Soccer Exhibition
