ATLANTA, Ga. — The WNBA Finals shift to Atlanta on Wednesday night, as the Atlanta Dream welcome the Golden State Valkyries to State Farm Arena for Game 3 with the best-of-seven series even at a game apiece.
Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. The Dream return home riding the biggest win in team history. After dropping the opener on the road, Atlanta bounced back Monday night to claim the first WNBA Finals victory the franchise has ever recorded.
Angel Reese carried the load in that Game 2 win, finishing with 30 points and 16 rebounds as the Dream pulled even. Reese said after the game that the team was angry and embarrassed about letting the opener get away and came together to respond.
Atlanta will host both Game 3 and Game 4 downtown. Game 4 is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday after the Dream, the WNBA, the Atlanta Hawks and the NBA worked out an arrangement for the arena, and the Hawks pushed their home opener that day to 8:30 p.m.
Seats are still available. Tickets for both home games went on sale last week, and as of Wednesday morning the lowest-priced ticket for Game 3 was listed at $76.
Fans who cannot get into the arena have another option. The Dream have published a list of official watch party spots around the city, including McCray’s Tavern on the Beltline, as Atlanta chases its first league championship.
With two straight home dates ahead, the Dream have a chance to take control of the series in front of their own crowd. A win Wednesday would put Atlanta two victories from a title, while a Golden State win would hand the Valkyries back the edge before Saturday afternoon’s Game 4.
