BATON ROUGE, La. — Georgia volleyball came back twice from a set down and beat LSU 3-2 on Sunday afternoon, taking the fifth set 15-9 behind a record-setting day from outside hitter Bianna Muoneke.

Muoneke finished with a career-best 30 kills while hitting .377 and added 11 digs for a double-double. It was her eighth match of 20 or more kills this season. She became the first Bulldog to reach 30 kills in a match since 2024, and she picked up the 1,000th kill of her Georgia career during the deciding set, making her the 21st player in program history to get there.

LSU won the first set 25-19, and Georgia answered by hitting .433 in a 25-15 second set. The third set was the wildest of the afternoon. The Bulldogs dug out of an 11-3 hole, held set point five times and still lost 32-30. Muoneke had 11 kills in that set alone, the most by a Georgia player in a single set.

Georgia trailed 12-8 in the fourth before a 13-3 run flipped the set and forced a fifth. In the decider, a 5-0 burst put the Bulldogs up 6-2, and after LSU tied it at 7, Georgia took eight of the last 10 points.

Serving and blocking made the difference. Georgia served 12 aces, four of them from freshman Gigi Artiles, and finished with 14 team blocks. Graduate middle Kendal Kemp had a match-high seven blocks, and setter Chloe Elarton matched her career best with 47 assists.

LSU outdid Georgia in kills, 68-66, and in digs, but the Bulldogs held a 92-80 edge in total points. Tigers hitter Jurnee Robinson matched Muoneke with 30 kills of her own. LSU dropped to 8-9 overall and 3-5 in SEC play.
