Wood Partners has started construction on three new multifamily housing projects in the Southeast US, specifically in Palmetto, Nashville, and Atlanta. These developments aim to address the growing need for affordable housing while providing upscale living options with a variety of amenities. As demand rises, the company remains committed to delivering high-quality apartment communities to enhance the quality of life for residents in these regions.
Palmetto, Florida: Wood Partners, a leading national multifamily developer, has initiated construction on three new housing communities in the Southeast US, marking a significant expansion to address the growing demand for attainable housing in this region. The new developments are located in Palmetto, Florida; Nashville, Tennessee; and Atlanta, Georgia, and they aim to offer upscale living options at cost-effective rates.
The initiative forms part of Wood Partners’ ongoing commitment to deliver high-quality, affordable apartments where they are most needed. As the Southeast continues to experience rapid growth, the company’s CEO has underscored the necessity of this expansion to cater to the increasing demand for attainable housing in these markets.
The Palmetto project will feature 246 units designed over four stories, providing potential residents with one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts. Situated strategically between major urban centers such as St. Petersburg, Tampa, Sarasota, and Lakewood Ranch, the development offers residents access to award-winning beaches and premier amenities.
Residents can expect a wide range of community features that enhance quality of life, including a resort-style pool, sundeck, outdoor grilling areas, a fitness center, resident clubhouse, coworking space, dog park, and a pet wash station.
In Nashville, Wood Partners is developing the Gallatin project on a 35-acre site that will include 372 apartments alongside 5,000 square feet of commercial space. Groundbreaking for this project occurred in February 2025, with the first units anticipated to be available in Spring 2026. The Gallatin site will also include a range of amenities such as a clubhouse, fitness center, business hub, pool, dog park, and amenity lawn to provide a well-rounded living experience for residents.
The Ben Hill project in Atlanta will consist of 236 units that cater to a variety of living arrangements with one-, two-, and three-bedroom options. This site is advantageously located near major industrial corridors and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, elevating its appeal for potential residents. Groundbreaking for the Ben Hill community took place in January 2025, with completion targeted for August 2026. Residents will enjoy amenities including a fitness center, pool, dog park, clubroom, and coworking space.
Wood Partners aims to provide an upscale living experience through its attainable housing projects by featuring high-end finishes, such as granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Cost-saving measures are designed to keep rental prices lower than conventional urban developments. The company strategically selects suburban locations and prioritizes efficient design and minimal landscaping to ensure affordability while maintaining quality.
Last year, Wood Partners successfully launched multiple attainable housing communities in cities including Atlanta, Tampa, Charlotte, and Dallas. This expansion into new locations signifies the developer’s commitment to addressing the pressing need for housing solutions that balance affordability with quality.
The initiation of these three new multifamily housing projects highlights Wood Partners’ focus on expanding its footprint in the Southeast while catering to the needs of modern renters seeking attainable yet upscale living environments. As the Southeast continues to thrive, Wood Partners remains dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals and families through its innovative housing initiatives.
