News Summary

Audrey Kittila, a recent graduate from the University of Georgia, has been named Miss Georgia 2025 during the prestigious Miss Georgia Scholarship Competition. This marks her fourth appearance in the pageant, where she secured the title along with $28,000 in scholarship funds. Kittila’s platform focuses on educational equity, motivating young students to pursue their aspirations. She emphasizes the importance of overcoming failure in her journey and aims to inspire future generations through her advocacy. The new Miss Georgia also received a KIA Sorento to assist her in community service efforts.

Columbus, Georgia – Audrey Kittila, a 22-year-old graduate from the University of Georgia, has been crowned Miss Georgia 2025 at the annual Miss Georgia Scholarship Competition, held over four days at the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts. Kittila, standing tall at 6-foot-1, is the 80th winner of this prestigious title, securing a total of $28,000 in scholarship funds.

This year marks Kittila’s fourth consecutive appearance in the Miss Georgia competition, previously competing as Miss Atlanta and earning the title of third runner-up as Miss Cobb County last year. Kittila graduated summa cum laude from the University of Georgia in 2024, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in communications sciences and disorders. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in speech-language pathology at the same institution.

In addition to her crown, Kittila won multiple preliminary and overall awards during the competition. The scholarship money from this title will be combined with $19,800 from previous years to support her education in speech therapy, including funding for necessary certifications. Kittila is also contemplating further academic pursuits, such as obtaining a specialist’s degree or a clinical doctorate.

Following her win, Kittila expressed feelings of elation and gratitude, highlighting the importance of mentorship throughout her preparation for the competition. Her platform, titled “Education for All,” focuses on visiting schools to motivate students in their educational and career aspirations. She aims to inspire young individuals to build strong reading skills and encourages them to achieve their high school diploma or GED.

Kittila emphasized the significance of overcoming the fear of failure and the joy of the journey, rather than solely seeking victory in competitions. She remarked that her younger self would not have imagined becoming Miss Georgia. Her height, she believes, provides a unique opportunity for engagement and connection with others, allowing her to showcase the intelligence and service-oriented nature of pageantry beyond superficial appearances.

Outside her commitments to pageantry, Kittila enjoys playing the piano and violin, as well as engaging in various crafts. A notable highlight of her time in the competition was the opportunity to connect with fellow contestants through music, fostering a sense of camaraderie and sisterhood among participants.

Kittila attributes much of her success to her supportive parents, who have helped her remain grounded even amidst the pressures associated with her role. As part of her responsibilities as Miss Georgia, she received a new KIA Sorento on June 16, 2025, which will aid her in community service and outreach initiatives throughout her reign.

Her previous titles include Miss University of Georgia 2022 and Miss Atlanta, solidifying her experience in the realm of pageantry. Kittila’s win as Miss Georgia 2025 not only represents a personal achievement but also empowers her to advocate for educational equity and inspire future generations.
