She was known for her unwavering support for her children, Logan and Cody, and her strong connections to family and friends. Janeen’s approach to life was characterized by grace, strength, and an infectious spirit that resonated deeply with all who knew her.

Janeen was born and raised in Rochester, NY, where she displayed exceptional athletic talent during her time at Greece Athena High School. She excelled in both soccer and track, earning recognition as an All-Greater Rochester player and being named Greece Athena Female Athlete of the Year. Her dedication to the sport continued to thrive as she earned a full soccer scholarship to St. Bonaventure University. Following her graduation, Janeen moved to Charlotte, NC, and then settled in Atlanta, GA, where she maintained her passion for soccer and forged lasting friendships in the community.

In 2018, Janeen created the St. Bonaventure Bonnie Alum Basketball Followers Facebook page, intended to connect alumni during the NCAA post-season. This initiative was a resounding success, gathering over 5,200 members, including alumni, faculty, staff, and major media outlets, highlighting her commitment to fostering community connections.

Throughout her life, Janeen was an ardent sports enthusiast, passionately supporting teams such as the Atlanta United, the Braves, Georgia Bulldogs, Buffalo Sabres, and her favorite, the Buffalo Bills. She shared a unique bond with her father, regularly discussing game scores and plays through text messages. Janeen was well-known for her energetic tailgating, where her spirited dance moves would uplift and energize those around her.

In addition to her athletic pursuits, Janeen embraced her culinary skills passionately in her final months, experimenting with ethnic flavors and nurturing a vegetable and herb garden in her backyard, which she often referred to as her “oasis.” Despite facing health challenges, Janeen maintained her role as a dedicated team member at Ernst & Young, showcasing extraordinary strength and determination in her professional life.

Janeen is survived by her children, Logan and Cody, her parents Jack and Beverly Bartlett, sister Tricia Martineck (Sean), and her cherished nieces Abby and Grace.
