Dr. McKinzie, a second-generation survivor of abuse, is a nationally respected voice for healing and transformation. She is the founder and CEO of ThriveHER Inc., a nonprofit organization committed to helping women heal from trauma and reclaim their power. Through ThriveHER, she has created safe spaces for women to grow, thrive, and lead lives of purpose.
A passionate advocate and community speaker, Dr. McKinzie uses her personal journey to inspire others. She regularly speaks on topics such as generational healing, single motherhood, and the power of resilience. Her work has earned her numerous accolades, including the 2019 Single Parent of the Year Certificate from the City of Atlanta, a Proclamation from the City of Brunswick, and now, the prestigious title of 2025 Georgia Mother of the Year®.
