Andrew’s journey began on a farm in West Point, Indiana, where he graduated from West Lafayette High School in 1967 before going on to earn a degree from Ball State University in 1971. Notably active in the local community, Andrew served as a Tippecanoe County councilman for 16 years, passionately representing his constituents. His contributions were recognized with numerous accolades, including the coveted Sagamore of the Wabash Award.

The funeral service for Jim Andrew is scheduled for April 18, 2024, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, followed by inurnment at West Point Cemetery. In a tribute to his legacy, contributions can be made to the Wabash River Enhancement Corporation, honoring his deep-rooted commitment to community betterment.
