What’s New This Year?

Previously hosted at the former North DeKalb Mall, this expo has made quite the move! With exciting new features and attractions, it’s shaping up to be a remarkable event with plenty of activities designed for fans of all ages. Get ready to immerse yourself in interactive experiences that celebrate coding and creative technology, making it perfect for kids, teens, and families.

Meet the Guests

This year’s featured guest is none other than Adetinpo Thomas, a talented actor and filmmaker who has made waves in major superhero and fantasy television series. Hailing from Carson, California, Adetinpo’s journey took her from earning an undergraduate degree in Theatre from the University of Georgia to a Master of Arts in Acting from the University of Connecticut. She has appeared in notable projects such as “Clean Slate”, “The Earth Will Not Swallow Us”, and had roles in hit series like “Marvel’s Hawkeye” and “Black Lightning”. Attendees will have multiple chances to engage with her throughout the weekend during panels that showcase her insights and experiences.

But that’s not all! The Expo will also welcome Lauren A. Brown, an Emmy Award-winning illustrator and art director who has collaborated with big names like Google and Marvel. A graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design, Lauren now serves as the digital art director at Wizards of the Coast. Her presence will surely inspire budding artists and creatives alike.

Additionally, Dexter Vines, a well-known inker recognized for his work on popular titles such as “Superman/Batman” and “Wolverine: Old Man Logan”, will be attending, along with voice actors Bob Carter and Carey Means. These talented individuals will be sharing their vast knowledge of the animation and gaming industries through engaging sessions.

Activities and Highlights

One particularly exciting highlight is the Interdimensional Ball at the Northlake Doubletree Hotel, inviting guests to a magical night filled with fantasy and cosplay celebrations. This is an opportunity to dress up as your favorite characters and mingle with fellow enthusiasts in a vibrant atmosphere.

On March 15 from 1 PM to 4 PM, the Expo will collaborate with Buttercup STEAM and Science Gallery to host a Raspberry Pi Jam. This family-friendly event aims to introduce visitors to the fascinating world of physical computing using Raspberry Pi technology. Perfect for tech lovers of all ages, this activity is set to inspire creativity and innovation among attendees.
