ATLANTA, Ga. — Two Atlanta Braves were named the best in the National League at their spots on Sunday night, as first baseman Matt Olson and utility player Mauricio Dubón each won a 2026 Rawlings Gold Glove Award.

They were the only Braves to win. Two more Braves, Michael Harris II in center and Chris Sale on the mound, made the finalist list, but those awards went to Mets right-hander Nolan McLean and Cubs center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong. Atlanta was one of four NL clubs with more than one winner, joining the Brewers, Cubs and Diamondbacks.

For Olson, 32, it is a second straight Gold Glove and the fourth of his career, after two earlier wins with the A’s in 2018 and 2019. Among first basemen still playing, only Paul Goldschmidt and Christian Walker have as many. He played all 162 games and finished first among big-league first basemen in Outs Above Average and Fielding Run Value, both at plus-12, beating out finalists Ty France of San Diego and T.J. Rumfield of Colorado.

Dubón, also 32, earned his award by moving all over the field. His starts broke down to 75 in left field and 51 at shortstop, plus 14 in center, five at third and four at second base, and his work at shortstop helped cover for Ha-Seong Kim’s down year. He won the utility award twice in the American League with Houston, in 2023 and 2025, and is the first Brave to take it since the category was created in 2022. No other player has won it more than once.

This is the first time Atlanta has had two Gold Glove winners in the same season since Max Fried and Dansby Swanson in 2022. The franchise has now won 12 Gold Gloves in seven of the last nine seasons. Managers and up to six coaches per team supply 75% of the vote, and the SABR Defensive Index makes up the other 25%.
