# Sixth arrest made in Macon park shooting that wounded 12

A sixth person has been arrested in the mass shooting that wounded 12 young people at a birthday party in a Macon park last month, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said.

Investigators identified the latest suspect as Jaylen Williams, 18. He was interviewed Tuesday, then arrested and booked into the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. Williams is charged with 11 counts of aggravated assault as a officials noted party to a crime and is being held without bond.

The sheriff’s office said Williams faces 11 counts rather than 12 because he was also one of the people shot.

Five others were already in custody: Lantonio Hill, 17; Justin Green, 19; Jaquez Bailey, 20; David Pitts, 24; and a 15-year-old who is charged as an adult. Each faces aggravated assault charges.

The shooting happened shortly after midnight sept 27 near the skatepark officials noted at carolyn crayton park investigators said a group attending a birthday party exchanged words with another group that arrived across the street, and people on both sides displayed guns and fired at each other. Surveillance video captured about 30 seconds of gunfire.

The 12 people wounded were between 17 and 19 years old. Two were initially listed in critical but stable condition. The investigation remains open, and anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 478-751-7500.

The 15-year-old charged as an adult is Ahmad Lundy, who faces 12 counts of aggravated assault. Green also faces a probation violation.
